Botanica Medicines was founded in 1999 by Robyn Thompson. The idea for Botanica was formed by what Robyn saw as a need for a wellbeing centre incorporating the best practitioners in all modalities, over the counter support and products to enhance people's lives in a retail environment. Clients could receive care from a team of practitioners as needed. Working under one roof together afforded excellent communication between practitioners and the benefits to the clients has been enormous. The retail area has brought Natural Therapies to the attention of many who had no experience of it.This centre was a first in Melbourne.
