Cayenne 1:3 (Capsicum Annuum)

Description:

Cayenne is a warming herb mainly used for acute conditions. It acts as a catalysy for other herbs

Dosage:

*low dose 1-4 drops per day, 7-20 drops per week

Key Indications:

  • Externally for rheumatic and arthritic pains, neuralgia, myalgia, unbroken chilblains (Substance P – may worsen initially)
  • Acute colds, catarrh, sore / congested throat conditions
  • Tonsillitis
  • Flatulent dyspepsia (in absence of inflammation)
  • Colic
  • Improves arterial blood supply and toxin removal to cold, congested or cyanotic tissues
  • Traditionally for headache

Major Safety Issues:

  • Low low dose herb
  • Infants & Children – Avoid
  • Therapeutic doses in pregnancy/lactation.
  • AVOID IN cases of hypertension, peptic ulceration & hyperacidity
