Description:

Dosage:

2-5 mls per day, 15-40 mls per week

  • Gastrointestinal conditions with hepatic involvement

Major Safety Issues:

Contraindicated in intestinal obstruction or intestinal inflammation – such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and appendicitis. Don’t use if there is abdominal pain of unknown origin.

Children under the age of 12 years should not use this herb.

Contraindicated in pregnancy

Long term use is not recommended. No longer than 2 weeks. Using longer can cause intestinal sluggishness. Only use if no benefit can be obtained through change of diet or use of bulk-forming products.
