Horsechestnut 1:2 (Aesculus Hippocastanum)

Description:

Horeschestnut is most commonly used for treating venous insufficiency such as varicose veins

Dosage:

2-5 mls per day, 15-40 mls per week

  • Disorders where local tissue oedema may be involved in nerve compression such as trigeminal neuralgia, Bell’s palsy, sciatica, disc lesions, carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Topically for haematoma, contusions, sprains

Major Safety Issues:

Saponins can cause or aggravate gastro-oesophageal reflux

Should not be applied directly to broken or ulcerated skin
